Atlas’ new EMD GP40

Our front page reviews include a look at the newest HO scale diesel locomotive model from Atlas Model Railroad Company — the Electro-Motive Division GP40. This all new model features numerous add-on details. Examined is Atlas’ Southern Pacific, Speed Lettered version, making this more than just a typical GP40. Managing editor Michael J. Atlas’ N scale EMD SD35

Back for his third locomotive review this issue, and the second for Atlas, Michael J. Pratt covers the N scale SD35. Atlas is offering the new diesel model in low, and high short nose versions. Michael reviews the high nose model of Montana Rail Link, as well as the low nose model for Chessie system. Atlas has taken a few steps forward with these new N scale models, and these steps can plainly be seen in this two page color review.

The Milwaukee Electrics

David Otte lifts the cover off Hundmann Publishing’s The Milwaukee Electrics, by Noel T. Holley. This is the second edition of The Milwaukee Electrics, the first being published by N. J. International, Inc. in 1987. In the new edition, the author and publisher have added additional pictures, including a color section, as well as extensive diagrams.
